Committees, Clubs & Cells
Cultural Committee
The cultural committee seeks to create a platform which provides opportunities for students to display their creative talents in many ways. The committee conducts Zonal Youth Fest in association with Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi and organises cultural competitions for various colleges. It also conducts events like inaugural programme, cultural competitions, annual day celebration, etc which encourage all the students to participate and helps them in their overall development.
NSS Units & Youth Red Cross Committee
Rendering social service is our responsibility towards society. In pursuance of this, our NSS Committee stimulates interest among the students to serve the needy people. The committee regularly organises NSS camps in remote villages during which it conduct awareness programmes related to environment, swachh Bharat, voting awareness, personality development programmes, cleanliness, talent hunt shows and Youth Exchange programme across India. The committee regularly conducts blood donation camps in association with Indian Red Cross Society and conducts health check-up camps for students, staff member & NSS Volunteers & General Public of Villages.
Magazine Committee
With the endless efforts of the magazine committee, the college is very successful in bringing out the magazine ‘Lex-Hues’ every year, covering all the activities of the students and college. The committee also updates reports to Vani Magazine, a quarterly magazine of Seshadripuram Educational Trust about all the achievements of our students in the field of academics, sports, cultural events, moot court competitions and many other activities. The committee also ensures that every year it collects the valuable messages of his excellency the Governor, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Law Minister of the State and publishes it in the magazine. The college magazine reaches every students and motivates them to keep up the spirit of our college.
Alumni Association
Our college takes pride in having an alumni association which was initiated in the year 2015-16. Since then, the college has been successfully organizing an alumni meet every year and felicitating the legal luminaries produced by our college. All the alumnus actively participate in the programme and motivates the young budding advocates of the college. They happily share their experiences and thoughts with the students on the day and encourages the students to be a role model in the society.
Placement Committee
The changing scenario of the profession focuses on new perspectives of law as a career. Today law provides multiple options to the students in corporate & law firms, LPOs, NGOs, courts (litigation) and regulatory bodies. The placement committee comprising of faculty and student co-ordinators acts as a connecting link between students and law firms or other bodies. In the past some of the renowned companies such as Wipro and Infosys have recruited our students. In addition to final placements, the college actively encourages students to join internship during vacation. We maintain database of Advocate contacts which can be helpful for future reference. Our students have been appointed as Research Assistants in Lokayukta and State Human Rights Commission, Law Officers in Banks. We also participate in Placement Drives organized by other Colleges. The Committee also conducts Seminars and Workshops with an intention to equip students to attend interview with required soft skills. Recruitment is an ongoing process. The committee functions throughout the year and co-ordinates the recruitment process at every available opportunity and offer.
Moot Court Committee
Volunteers. Moot court committee selects students to participate in moot court competition representing our college through selection round moot court competition. students will be trained to inculcate moot court skills which includes drafting of memorials and arguments. The selected teams shall register for moot court competitions through the Committee to represent of our College. Moot court committee conducts regular meetings to discuss about the upcoming Moot court competitions.
Environment Club
To create environmental awareness among students and promote sustainable practices on campus through education, participation, and action-oriented initiatives and to inspire students to act for a greener, more sustainable campus and future.
Constitution Club
To promote awareness and understanding of the Indian Constitution among students, and to encourage active citizenship, democratic values, and constitutional responsibility through discussions, events, and educational activities and to educate students about the Constitution and foster democratic values and civic responsibility.
Human rights Club
Human rights club intends to get familiarised with basic human rights, promotion and development of the same by organising seminars, guest lectures and any related student encouraged activities for better understanding of the concept.
Intellectual Property Rights Cell
IPR cell of Seshadripuram Law college was established in the year 2025 with a vision to promote, preserve, encourage and facilitate innovations and research.
The objective of the cell is
- To create awareness about IPR among teachers and students.
- To conduct seminars, workshops and special lectures for the faculty and students.
- To conduct the Faculty Development Program for faculty members.
- To conduct Awareness program relating to the career opportunities in IPR cell can contribute knowledge about IPR and aid in filing of patent application and filing other forms of IPR.
Consumer Club
Consumer club sets a stage for spreading awareness on the rights and responsibilities of a consumer as per consumer protection laws that have been specifically drafted for the welfare of the consumers, wherein related activities such as workshops, group discussions, guest lectures and competitions in connectivity to the topic shall be organised
Cyber Club
A cyber club is a centre where students dive into the ever-changing world of cybersecurity, think about the ethics of using technology, and learn how to stay safe online. This club is essential for giving people the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the internet securely and responsibly. They cover technical stuff, as well as psychological, physical, ethical, and legal aspects of cybersecurity. This prepares individuals to do well in today's digital world. This club give students a chance to learn by doing and encourage them to come up with new ideas, which supports the policy's goal of helping students develop in all aspects and become critical thinkers. For educators, cyber club serve as dynamic platforms for professional growth, enabling them to stay abreast of emerging technologies, innovative teaching methods, and effective digital resource integration in classrooms. Through active participation in cyber club activities, teachers further advance the policy's goal of empowering them to create dynamic, technology-enriched learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of students in today's digital era.
Mediation Cell
A mediation cell gives a forum for disagreements and issues to be heard and resolved with the help of an impartial third party. Seshadripuram Law College has set up a mediation cell as mediation is becoming more and more important in today’s society by serving all sectors of society and giving students hands-on experience with mediation. The main objective of the mediation cell is to conduct an interactive mediation process in which an impartial third party uses specialized communication and negotiation strategies to help the parties achieve them stated goals.
Seminars, workshops, training, visit to mediation centres, helping the needy in pre litigation mediation is some of the activities carried under mediation cell.
Career Guidance cell
Career guidance cell are crucial for individuals especially students to navigating carrier paths. Career Guidance cells can be found in Educational institutions or organisations that play a vital role in shaping career and fostering professional Growth.
Value Added Program
A value added program in a law college is designed to complement the traditional academic curriculum by equipping students with essential practical skills, professional competencies, and industry-relevant knowledge crucial for a successful legal career.
These programs aim to enhance students’ employability, confidence, and readiness for the dynamic and demanding nature of the legal profession. They typically include specialized training sessions, hands on workshops, and guest lectures that expose students to the practical aspects of law areas often not covered in depth within the standard curriculum.
Value added initiatives are often conducted in collaboration with legal practitioners, law firms, judicial officers, corporate legal departments, and academic experts. Through these experiences, students not only gain real world exposure but also develop critical skills such as legal reasoning, effective communication, and problem-solving.
By participating in such programs, law students are better prepared to meet the evolving demands of the legal field and transition smoothly from academic study to professional practice.
